Purchasing an LTR Nubian

 

Since Lil' Toad Ranch is not a known breeder or well known in the dairy goat world, our American and Purebred Nubians will be priced below the price of Nubians you will find from more well-known breeders.  But, that does not mean you will be buying anything less than a healthy, loved and excellent Nubian dairy goat.  

 

We gaurantee that at the time of purchase, all our Nubians will be free of CAE, and CL, either by parentage and/or by lab testing.  All records of labwork, lineage, veternary records, even our barn records will be provided.  

 

Nubians are a dual purpose goat breed, providing both delicious and healthy meat along with delicious and healthy milk.  When we sell our Nubians, we will specify if they are being sold for meat.  Most of our goats will be sold for show,  breeding and dairy production.  Some of our goats will be sold as pets or to harvest as meat.  But all of our goats will only be sold to buyers we have interviewed and trust will provide good homes for the goat's intended purpose. 

 

Our Nubians will be disbudded, tattooed and banded (for wethers sold for meat or as pets) before they are sold.  

 

All our Nubians will be registerable and an application for registration with the ADGA along with transfer documentation will be provided at the time of the sale.

 

 

Pricing

 

Purebred Nubian does at 2 months  old- $350 + $5/week after 2 months to a maximum of $500 for yearlings, fresheners and mature does.  Pregnant does with confirmed pregnancy are $450. Purebred intact bucklings are $200 with completed registration.  Wethers are $75.

 

Grade Nubians- $150.  We currently have a native on appearance Nubian, considered a grade dairy goat by the ADGA.  We have raised and sold her daughters, which are considered 50% Nubian by the ADGA, and her granddaughters, which are 75% Nubian to wonderful homes.  We currently have her granddaughter "Luna" who will kid our first 100% American Nubians.  All of our 100% American Nubians are $250.   Pregnant American does with confirmed pregnancy are $350.  

 

Our Purebred and American Nubians are registered with the ADGA and  receive all the same lab testing, vaccines, and excellent care. Both our American and Purebred Nubians prduce delicious milk and can be shown in 4-H or other dairy goat shows and competitions.   Our NOA Nubian is our family's milk producer!  We love her milk!!

 

Grade Nubian Wethers for meat or pets- $50 for kids up to 3 months.  $75 for animals greater than 3 months.  

 

 

Reserving Kids

 

If you would like to reserve a kid from a specific breeding listed on our breeding/kidding page, please contact Sheila via the contact page.  All reservations will be honored on a first come, first serve basis.  A $50 deposit is required to reserve a kid.  If the specified sex of the kid reserved is not born from the breeding, a refund or choice of another kid will be given.  LTR reserves the right to retain a buck or doe from a kidding before the reserved bucks or does are selected. 

 

 

4-H and FFA

 

Youth involved in 4-H will receive a $50 discount on the price of the goat they purchase.  Our show quality Nubians will also be availble to "lease" for those unable to afford to purchase a Nubian for themselves.  The lease will work more like a library: the 4-H/FFA member will have the ability to raise their animal on our property if they are unable to provide proper housing and space for the goat.  For more information about "leasing" an LTR Nubian for 4-H or FFA, contact Sheila via the contact page.
